I believe God gave me this song as a confirmation of how far I have come in surviving fear.
A great and wise pastor once told me that I would probably get to the end of my life and wish I had been a little more bold and a lot less fearful. I knew then I had some work to do before I could start "jumping" by faith into things and allowing God to lead the way without worrying about what would happen if I did. I started doing a little "jumping" and found out life could be a lot more colorful and that it was a lot easier to rely on God for the outcome as long as I did some hard work in-between. What really got me started on the song was the story of Jesus and Peter and all the other disciples who didn't get out of the boat. I realize that Peter had the courage "when he was looking at Christ" to get out of the boat and walk on the water. I knew God was speaking to me when he said, "Michele, it's time for you to step out of the boat and jump into the color!".
